Anthony Bartone to Run Le Mans Cup at Circuit de la Sarthe with Getspeed

Long Island, Ny., (June 7, 2024) – Anthony Bartone (Miami, Fla.) and Steve Jans (Luxembourg) will compete in the 2024 Michelin Le Mans Cup (June 13 and 15) to run at the Circuit de la Sarthe in support of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the No. 14 Bartone Bros. Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Getspeed Performance.

This will mark Bartone’s first visit to Le Mans as he looks for more seat time in support of his SRO Fanatec Europe and International GT Open commitments, where he and teammate Fabian Schiller (Köln, Germany) posted a win at the Hockenheimring in May.

The race is comprised of two 55-minute races competing on the full 8.4-mile, 21-turn Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe. Of the 8.4 miles, 5.5-miles covers public roads that are only used for competition 10-days a year.

“It’s going to be pretty cool, it’s an honor and a privilege to have an opportunity to drive at Le Mans,” Bartone said. “Le Mans is on every single GT driver’s bucket list. I didn’t get into driving GT cars until recently, but every summer since I was a kid my dad, Tony, and I watched the race together. It is a good opportunity provided by the ACO to give the Road to Le Mans competitors the chance to drive the circuit on the same weekend as the biggest sportscar race on earth. I am happy to be driving with Steve Jans again and competing with my familiar Getspeed crew.”

The Michelin Le Mans Cup competitors will have two practice sessions on Wednesday, June 12 at 11:45 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., followed by two qualifying sessions on Thursday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m., 11:05 a.m., and Race 1 starting at 6:30 p.m. Race 2 will take the green on Saturday, June 15 at 10:35 a.m.
